- Open the Browser on BlackBerry and enter the following URL: http://download.xdialer.mobi/XDialer.jad
- Install the X-dialer (select "Trust the application" if prompted).
- Setup the APN on Blackberry: Select Option -> Device -> Advanced System Setting -> TCP/IP, and then configure the APN. Please consult your network operator for the APN settings.
- Run the X-dialer from Blackberry, and then press Blackberry key, select SIP setting, and configure the account as follows:
- name: SIP username
- User password: SIP password
- Display name: same as User name or leave it blank (do not configure anything other than these)
- Auth username: same as User name
- Keep dialer running in background: Optional. If selected, there are the following options under “Route call via VoIP” for calling from the Blackberry keypad.
-
Never: The calls will never use X-dialer.
- Always ask: The caller will be asked to use cellular network (use your air time) or VoIP (X-dialer)
- Always: The calls will always use VoIP (X-dialer)
-
Only calls with prefix: You can predefine a prefix for VoIP call. You need to configure the Prefix below. For example, 99, then you dial 99 to use VoIP automatically. The phone numbers dialed without this prefix will still use your cellular network.
When done, click Return to save the settings. If the account is valid, it will show "Registered" and the balance at the top.
-
Dialing format:
011<country code><city code><phone number> or
00<country code><city code><phone number>
For USA/Canada, 1<city code><phone number>
-
Note: X-dialer works on only O S4.6 or later. X-dialer does not support CDMA network.
